Support.com is a legit company that’s been around since 1997. They’ve been hiring work from home tech support employees for quite a while.

Remote Services Technicians

This job pays $10.25/hr. after training. Training is virtual and pays $9/hr. Requirements include one year’s experience setting up home networks (or equivalent technical training) and one year of related experience in a customer service environment. You’ll also need an understanding of wired and wireless home networks, and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.

You’ll be providing tech support to Support.com’s customers via inbound calls.

Client Services Technicians

This job pays $11/hr. Paid virtual training; pay rate during training not mentioned. Requirements include one year’s related experience in a customer service and/or technical support environment. You’ll also need an understanding of wired and wireless home networks. If you’re bilingual Spanish, super — you’ll get a pay differential.

You’ll be responding to inbound calls for tech support. You’ll also be making outbound calls to new customers to touch base. As with most customer support jobs, you’ll also be upselling and working hard to retain customers.
