Work from Home Jobs – Amazon Hiring Part-Time Now – Customer Service Associates – Paid Virtual Training

We recently wrote about Amazon’s full-time Customer Service openings — Amazon is still accepting applications for those — but many people prefer part-time. Good news — the company is now hiring part-time again, too. Paid virtual training provided. As with full-time, pay is $10/hr.

These positions are open in Amazon’s Reserves Associates program. You’ll be handling inbound calls from Amazon customers.

Hiring States

For these openings, Amazon is hiring from the following states (if yours isn’t included, check our Newest Jobs & Gigs page for other jobs like these): Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Virginia.

Scheduling

During training you’ll be working 15 hrs./week. Afterward, the average Associate works 12 hrs./week, Amazon says.

“You will work a schedule that you build by choosing from available hours posted weekly to our online scheduling portal. Hours will generally be available on weekdays between 2:30 pm and 12 midnight, Pacific Standard Time, and on weekends between 7 am and 12 midnight, Pacific Standard Time.”

Requirements

Quoting from the job description,

— High School Diploma or equivalent
— Fluent English language proficiency
— Typing, phone, and computer navigation skills
— Ability to navigate the Internet, multiple browsers, email, and Instant Messenger tools
— Ability to participate and complete mandatory training
— Ability to complete I-9 work authorization paperwork in person
— Ability to train and work in a distraction-free environment on weekday evenings and weekends

On the tech side, you’ll need high-speed Internet, with your computer directly connected to your router/modem via Ethernet cable. If you’re using a laptop, it has to be connected to an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
