American Express is once again hiring part-time Virtual Customer Care Professionals. These jobs usually go quickly, so don’t wait to apply or share if interested!


Customer Care Professionals take inbound calls from American Express customers. They handle general questions and account-specific inquiries, the company says.

Pay & Benefits (Quoted from the Job Listing)

— Competitive starting pay (minimum $15.73/hr)
— Monthly performance-based incentives, over and above your base pay
— Flexible, non-traditional schedules available
— Generous benefits package after 90 days of employment: tuition assistance, retirement programs and comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans
— Paid training, to be completed from your home office on company-provided equipment

“American Express will cover the connection cost and monthly fees for dedicated telephone and Internet service from an American Express approved provider in your area,” the company adds.


The job listing doesn’t mention educational requirements. Other requirements include:

— Understanding the importance of managing sensitive card member information with integrity
— Experience interacting with customers; phone support preferred
— Being an active listener and able to identify both spoken and unspoken needs
— Being able to manage a steady stream of calls, while meeting performance metrics
— Being a good online multi-tasker
— Valuing timeliness and reliability

As with most customer service jobs, you’ll also need a quiet home office.
