If you’re looking for an extra-cash gig that’s like Amazon Flex and UberEats, Postmates is hiring Couriers to make local deliveries in their own cars. Pays a median of $19/hr. during peak times, the company says, though the average appears to be about $9-$15 — depending on location, surge pricing, etc. You’ll be taking food or merchandise to local residents on your own schedule.
Pay is by direct deposit 4-7 business days after the delivery.

With Amazon leading the way — and other companies like Walmart rushing to catch up — online shopping with home delivery is becoming a huge deal. I use it a lot myself. I live in rural Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. No store nearby. So I order online a lot — dog food, cat food, food for my daughter Jazz and me, household supplies, supplies for my home office. I once even ordered a dresser with “some assembly required.” But that’s a trauma I’ll revisit when I get out of assembly therapy.
