If you’re a Rat Race Rebellion regular, you already know that Appen and Lionbridge hire Search Evaluators. Now, Sykes has entered the arena as well and posted job listings for Part-Time Search Quality Evaluators. These are apparently employee positions, as they’re classified as “Customer Service,” and Sykes’ site says that all customer care professionals are employees. But that’s not official.
Paid training included.
“Unfortunately, we are unable to hire in the following states: Iowa, Illinois, New Hampshire, Washington, Vermont, Oregon, New York, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Arizona, and Colorado,” the company says. California is also excluded (with thanks to Kimberly L. for the tip). And Wanda A., who also applied, reports that they are not hiring from Ohio. (Thanks for the tip, Wanda!).
Here’s what they have to say about this role:
“Looking for a part-time job? Always wanted to work from home? Want to work your own schedule? We’re looking for people who enjoy a challenge and thrive in an remote environment where things are moving very quickly.
We all know how frustrating it is to search a topic online and not get the results that match our needs. In this position you will use your attention to detail and tech-savvy skills to evaluate search engine results for relevancy and quality. Agents must use their own PC (no macs) and an activated smart phone with Wi-Fi capability is required. Agents can work up to 3 hours per day, with a max of 10-15 hours per week. This position requires strong computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems to research information. Applicants without strong computer skills will not be considered. You must have the ability to review offensive/mature content without being offended.
People are our most valuable asset and we provide world-class training, benefits and growth opportunities to help you become the best the industry offers.
