If you don’t like talking on the phone, but love giving great customer service and can type quickly and accurately, this may be just the work from home job you’ve been looking for!
We’ve told you about The Chat Shop in the past, and I wanted to re-post here since the company is getting great reviews from current at-home chatters.
This is a UK-based company, but you can work from the US. No state hiring restrictions are mentioned, though some of our Facebook members from NY and NJ reported being ineligible. We’ll update here when we have more details. The job reportedly pays about $10/hr., depending on exchange rates with the UK pound.
In their words —
- Native-level English with outstanding sentence structure, spelling and grammar
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
- Strong ability to multi-task and stay focused in high-pressure situations
- Meticulous learner and inquisitive mind
- Upbeat and positive personality
- Typing speed of 80+ WPM, error free
- Able to work 35-40 hours each week
World class training
You’ll learn valuable skills and fascinating knowledge about businesses and industries you’ve not come across before. You’ll learn how to drive a conversation from enquiry through to sale and turn unhappy customers into ecstatic customers.
Every chat is unique. We provide you with the training, knowledge and tools but it’s up to you to add your personality. You’ll be working as part of one of our teams representing a selection of our customers. You might be concurrently selling investment property, providing customer support for a leading British video on demand service while also discussing which ski holiday a customer might like to go on. It’s varied, interesting and surprisingly complex.
Location not important. Being part of the team is.
We realised to continue to work with the best team we could find we needed to look further afield than commuting distance from our HQ in West London. As long as you have a distraction free workspace, reliable internet and are a native English speaker you can still be and feel a big part of the team.
