Work from Home Chat Agents – Smith.ai: We received an email from Smith.ai saying, “We are looking to expand to 24/7 soon, so we are needing to fill open spots for our chat position by 1/1/20. We are mainly looking for people to fill weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as well as graveyard shifts for all 7 days. Open availability is a big plus.” The job listing mentions phone work, but the application process appears to give you a choice between chat and phone.


Remote Bookkeeper – Two Roads: “The skills and qualifications you’ll need to succeed: Passionate about financials; 4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; extreme organization and strong decision-making skills; understanding of business models; ability to work from home, 30+ hours/week…”


Take Surveys & Short Polls for Toluna — Toluna pays in points redeemable for PayPal cash or checks, or (if you prefer) gift cards for Amazon, Walmart, Target and other major brands. Daily sweepstakes and other ways to earn are included. Not for core income, but can help with frills or bills.

Your name is separated from the data, and devices run as usual. User IDs and passwords are not collected, the company adds.


Make Extra Cash as a Shipt Shopper – Target-owned Shipt pays people to shop for groceries and deliver them locally in their own car. Set your own schedule. “Experienced shoppers make an average of $16-$22/hr.,” Shipt says. “With tips you can potentially make more.” Shipt reviewers on Indeed report an average of about $22/hr., based on 400,000+ reports. Elsewhere, many Shipt shoppers say their hourly rate is below the quoted average, and “everything depends on tips.” Bottom line, “your mileage may vary.” Pay is weekly.


Teach English to Chinese Children Online – Qkids: Pays $16-$20/hr. Hiring from the US and Canada. “Have a Bachelor’s or above; be able to teach 6+ hours weekly; have teaching experience or equivalent in education, tutoring, mentoring, or homeschooling; English teaching certificates (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc) are highly preferred…” Send a 1-2-minute video of yourself telling or reading a children’s story…

College not required. “Competitive salary and benefits,” per the company. A rough estimate based on Glassdoor reviews is $12-$13/hr., but that’s not official.


Take Surveys for Extra Cash – Pinecone Research: Got a HS diploma/GED or didn’t complete HS? Pinecone needs you. Earn $3 per survey (15-20 mins., typically). They may also send you free products to test. Minimum age for surveys is 18. We’ve never seen them seek this category of applicants before. Not sure how long it will last, so apply or share quickly if interested.
