Note: This job is not for everyone, but it is legitimate. The pay is just $8.50/hour and you’ll be an independent contractor. You’ll need to “grab” your hours quickly when they’re posted. BUT, with all of that said, for many people, this is “easy” work that can tide you over until you find your perfect job!
“Please stay on the line so I can connect you to a third party who will verify your order.”
If you have ever changed your long distance provider, power company provider, telecom provider or any number of other over-the-phone transactions, there’s a good chance you’ve been asked to stay on the line so a third party, who was not involved in the transaction, can verify that you REALLY want to lock in the deal.
In some cases, third party verification is required by law. In others, it is a practice put in place to ensure salespeople are not being overly assertive – talking consumers into something they may not really want after all.
BSG/VoiceLog Verification is seeking US-based independent Live Operators to “take live inbound calls that are recorded to verify a customer’s choice to order a service. There is no selling involved in being a VoiceLog operator.”
Here are the details from their site:
“Earn a guaranteed minimum $8.50 per hour, with the benefits of flexible work hours and working from home! VoiceLog is looking for English, Spanish or bi-lingual independent contractor live operators with flexible hours.
VoiceLog is the #1 provider of third party verification services in the US. Our operators receive live verification calls for telephone companies and other service industries looking to help combat sales fraud. All calls are recorded for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
Work at home as an independent contractor during the hours of 2pm CST to 11pm CST Monday-Friday and every other weekend. You can choose to work shifts of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours. As an inbound live operator verification agent, you will earn a guaranteed minimum $8.50 per hour.
Are there any fees associated with the application or training process?
Currently, there are no fees associated with the application process. Our training program does require you to dial-in to a conference line so unless you have unlimited long distance, there will be long distance charges associated with your call. After your training is completed, long distance telephone service is not required to take our customers calls.
What is a Live Operator?
A Live Operator is an independent contractor for VoiceLog that works from home and takes live inbound calls that are recorded to verify a customer’s choice to order a service. There is no selling involved in being a VoiceLog operator.
What does a Live Operator do?
Live Operators take inbound calls for VoiceLog’s customers to verify service orders. All calls are recorded and must meet certain requirements to be considered ”verified.” Live Operators also code calls to appropriately reflect the outcome of the call after the call has been completed.
Will I have to do any selling or up-selling?
No. The calls you will be handling are inbound verification calls only. The Live Operator’s do not handle any sales calls.”
