Work from Home Jobs – Part-Time Community Support & Safety Associates – Non-Phone Job

If you’d like to help young people traveling internationally — and their hosts, too — Couchsurfing has some part-time openings you’ll want to check out. The schedule is 20 hrs. per week. Hiring appears to be nationwide.

Couchsurfing is a growing site funded by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar’s investment fund. It enables young travelers to stay with local people around the world. “We envision a world made better by travel and travel made richer by connection. Couchsurfers share their lives with the people they encounter, fostering cultural exchange and mutual respect,” the company says.

Couchsurfing is looking for Community Support & Safety Associates to help members — via written communication using the company’s helpdesk — who have questions or are reporting issues as they use the site. You’ll also help out with the technical glitches.

Openings are for four time slots. The times given are PST, but apparently you can work from any US time zone. No geographical restrictions are mentioned. Quoting:

Monday – Friday: 1:00 am to 5:00 am (4 hour shifts)
Monday – Friday: 5:00 am to 9:00 am (4 hour shifts)
Friday – Saturday: 5:00 pm to 2:00 am (8 hour shifts with break)
Saturday – Sunday: 1:00 am to 10:00 am (8 hour shifts with break)

Requirements include solid writing skills, fluent English, proficiency in Google Office, and either a bachelor’s degree or current courses toward one.

The pay rate isn’t mentioned. Employee reviews give the company overall 3.1 stars out of 5 on Glassdoor. To go to the job, click here. To go to the site, click here. Good luck!
