The folks at Liveops reached out to let us know they’re urgently seeking Remote Customer Support Representatives for a current contract and beyond!
If you’re a Rat Race Rebellion regular, you’ve heard of Liveops and you’ve likely seen success stories from your fellow RRRebels who have been contracting with them.
You may also have heard me say that getting on board with a company when they have a great need, and then “strutting your stuff”, is a great way to get on their roster for other contracts/programs beyond the contract they brought you in for.
For example, the company is currently looking for customer service pros to work on the Turbo Tax campaign, but they will soon be seeking people to work on a healthcare-related campaign! So, if you get on board for Turbo Tax and excel, the company will know your work when the healthcare campaign kicks in.

Remote Customer Support Representative – Independent Contractor – Turbo Tax
Liveops is looking for self-employed Independent Contractors (ICs) to provide remote virtual teleservices for Turbo Tax customers during this busy tax season.
Liveops Certification – Helping You Succeed
NO TAX EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! The company’s 3-week certification process will help prepare you to succeed in this role.
- Live certification runs from Monday – Friday
- March 10, 2025 – March 28, 2025
- Sessions are required by the client and are available at either 10am-12pm ET or 4pm-6pm ET – choose the time that works best for you
- Attendance at one daily session is a client requirement
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of phone-based customer support experience
- Computer skills, including navigating multiple systems and documenting call notes
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Patience and empathy
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
As an Independent Contractor, You Will:
- Be your own boss
- Choose when and to whom you provide support services
- Set your own schedule
- Provide a distraction-free home office
- Provide your own home office equipment
- Handle customer calls, assess needs, and solve problems
Earning Potential:
- $0.34 per talk time minute. ($18-$20/hour)
- Agents are eligible to receive incentives for meeting client requirements during, certification, nesting, and for hitting client KPIs! These incentives could reach up to and beyond $250.
Hours:
- 7 days, 8a – 12a ET (peak)
- Choose your own schedule by self-scheduling 30-minute blocks
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 80 commits per month. Successful agents average 20 commits each week
TechnicalRequirements:
- CPU: Minimum Intel Core i5 or equivalent
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
- Browser: Latest versions of Chrome, Edge or Internet Explorer
- Screen Resolution: Minimum 1024 x 768 or higher
- Download Speed: Minimum 10.0 Mbps or faster
- Upload Speed: Minimum 3.0 Mbps or faster
- RAM: Minimum 8 GB
- Dual Monitors Required
How to Become an IC:
- Live in one of the following states: AK, AL, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV, WY
- Complete the application process and computer technology check
- Complete onboarding, including:

- Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA)
- Passing an identity verification and background check (with a $25 fee)
- Setting up direct deposit
- Accessing agent account
- Select your first client
