In this role, you would provide compassionate phone and email support to members as they navigate family-forming journeys. You’ll answer questions, offer empathetic guidance, and help members make the most of their Carrot benefits.
Applicants should have 1–3 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or another client-facing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, empathy, and the ability to support a diverse member population are essential. A bachelor’s degree is required.
The posted pay rate is $28 per hour.
The company is hiring remotely across the U.S., except for candidates in Des Moines, IA, where the role is in-office. Carrot offers comprehensive benefits, including health and wellness coverage, retirement plans, incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and more.
Training will take place over the first 6-8 weeks, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST. The following regular schedules are available:
- 7:00PM – 6:00AM CST Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Overview
Carrot is dedicated to making fertility and family care accessible and inclusive. As a Care Companion, you’ll guide members through their unique family-building experiences—from fertility and adoption to gestational carrier arrangements and beyond. You’ll connect with members via phone, email, video chat, and other digital channels, ensuring they receive high-quality, compassionate support every step of the way.
Job Responsibilities

Provide outstanding, empathetic customer service to members via multiple communication channels.

Address member questions and concerns promptly and accurately.

Help members understand and use their Carrot benefits effectively.

Represent Carrot’s mission of inclusivity and accessibility in fertility and family-forming care.
Requirements

1–3 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a client-facing role.

Bachelor’s degree.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to empathetically support a diverse member base through various paths to parenthood.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Call center experience and knowledge of KPIs.

Experience in a digital health or tech environment.

Familiarity with Zendesk or similar CRM tools.

Background in fertility care, adoption, donor-assisted reproduction, or gestational carrier arrangements.

Bilingual abilities are a plus.
