VRI, a remote patient monitoring company, has posted a new Remote Call Center Representative position to their careers page.
ENTRY LEVEL ROLE — the job posting states, “Zero (0) plus years of experience.”
Following 21 days of paid training and testing, you will respond to alerts from medical alert devices, and receive alarm system calls or incoming telephone calls regarding emergency and non-emergency.

At VRI, our Care Center Representatives respond to alerts from our devices, helping members across the country during their most vulnerable moments. Our Care Center Representatives ensure our Grandma’s and Grandpa’s feel safe, secure, and supported. Sometimes, we’re simply there to chat, and that’s okay, or to provide comfort during a medical emergency.
Start Date: November 4th, 2024
1st shift available | Schedule must include one Weekend Day
Hourly Rate: $15.00 hour!
In this Remote Call Center Representative role you will…
- Successfully complete 21 days of new hire training and pass all required compliance testing.
- Monitor high volume of medical alert, secondary alarms, and inbound phone calls with genuine concern.
- Receive alarm system calls or incoming telephone calls regarding emergency and non-emergency.
- Answer alarms and inbound phone calls according to protocol and determine response requirements and relative priorities of situations, and dispatch in accordance with established procedures including determining location and type of response required.
- Answer customer questions using scripted and non-scripted responses.
- Record details of calls, dispatches, and messages.
- Troubleshoot alarm systems, and report malfunctions to ensure units receive necessary maintenance.
- Answer routine inquiries and relay information and messages to and from appropriate agencies, departments, and to all other individuals or groups requiring notification.
- Maintain access to, and security of, highly sensitive materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
We are interested in speaking with individuals with the following…
- Required High School Diploma or GED
- Zero (0) plus years of experience.
- Experience in a contact center or customer service with heavy phone volume and/or data entry a plus.
- For the remote capability at VRI you will be required to have a minimum of the following download and upload speeds. Download Speed: 5Mbps Upload Speed: 2Mps
- Ability to accurately type 35wpm.
- Exceptional customer service and people skills; ability to listen and understand customer needs and concerns.
- Ability to learn new technology and processes.
- Familiarity with customer service software and CRM systems is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when needed
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and with teams
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks as the same time
