In this independent contractor role, you will input, update, and verify data in specified systems, databases, or spreadsheets. You will also perform quality checks, organize and maintain files and records, and handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with company policies.
A college degree is not required, but applicants should have proven experience in data entry or a related field; excellent typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 50+ WPM preferred); strong attention to details; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and/or Google Workspace tools; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
The posted compensation rate is $16.50 – $20/ hour.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Contractor to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will accurately source, input and update data across various platforms while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to deadlines. This is a remote/temporary position with the potential for future project-based opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input, update, and verify data in specified systems, databases, or spreadsheets.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data.
- Organize and maintain files and records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with company policies.
- Meet daily/weekly data entry quotas and project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Follow instructions and workflows provided by supervisors or project managers.
About You – Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in data entry or a related field.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 50+ WPM preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and/or Google Workspace tools.
- Familiarity with data entry software or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a remote or freelance environment.
- Familiarity with data security best practices.
- Availability for flexible hours based on project needs.

This is a three month long contracted position with an average of 30-35 hours weekly. Potential few 40 hour weeks during peak conference season (April/May).
