Essential Functions:

  • Serves as a customer care agent for an assigned set of DMV states and processors.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding state processing requirements and exception rules.
  • Researches and troubleshoots exception requests, analyzes needs and:
    • Documents and reports on inquiries, status, and resolution.
    • Documents results for future reference, internally and externally.
    • Refers difficult and complex issues to internal technical experts, and/or, refers issues to management.
    • Resolves issues where possible.
    • Determines problem area(s).
  • Works proactively with DMV state and processors regarding scheduled curation of transaction requirements to ensure processing efficiencies.
    • Compiles currently system curated requirements for all transaction types.
    • Follows up with DMV state and end processors to identify new and outdated requirements.
    • Submits changes to internal team to be curated into the system.
    • Documents and reports on status and completion of requests

  • Builds working relationships with DMV personnel, end processor vendors, and cross functional teams.
  • Manage workflow between our organization and end processor vendors.
    • Ensure smooth processing turnarounds
    • Exception management resolution
    • Efficiency tracking and reporting
    • Participate in scheduled partnership meetings
    • Review vendor processing status via scorecard results.
    • Discuss efficiency opportunities within partnership.
  • Complete follow-up activities with DMV state/county offices for aged transactions.
    • Submission of VIN-specific inquiries for deal status.
    • Electronic or direct contact with DMV representatives to determine deal delay reasons.
    • Coordinate recovery efforts with Operations (as needed) for missing/invalid requirements.

Compensation and Other Benefits: Hourly pay rate is $15.67 – $23.56/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Employees receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
