Scammers all have three things in common – greed, dishonesty, and a firm belief that they’re smarter than everyone else.
As you may know, I like to turn the tables on these charlatans.
I do it to expose them and take steps to stop them.
I do it to share with you, our followers, some tips for spotting and avoiding scams.
I do it to stay on top of their latest tactics for luring unsuspecting victims into their trap.
And, if I’m being honest with myself, I also do it because I genuinely enjoy giving them a taste of their own medicine before I let them know they’re not the smartest kid in the room.
EXPOSING A NEW WORK FROM HOME / RENTAL PROPERTY SCAM
This is a LAYERED SCAM with two kinds of victims/targets.
The Work from Home Job Victim: The person who thinks they just landed a work from home job that involves listing rental properties online for a real estate agent. This person’s name will be directly associated with posting scam rental ads and, to top it off, they will not end up getting paid for their work.
The Renter Victims: The people who will ultimately pay an application fee, security fee, and the first month of rent to a person who doesn’t actually own the property or represent the owner.
This particular scammer was brazen enough to use Theo James’ (the actor who starred in the Divergent movie series) as his profile picture, and even thanks me when I tell him he’s handsome!
