Logistics
This is a part-time role with normal business hours, Monday through Friday. What Your Day Will Look Like
The Benefits & Onboarding Specialist will manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience for teammates. Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, maintaining accurate new-hire data in HRIS, assisting with benefits enrollment, and supporting FMLA and 401(k) processes. The role also involves partnering with vendors to resolve issues and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Coordinate Onboarding: Manage the full onboarding process for new hires, including communication and HRIS setup
- Lead Sessions: Conduct remote sessions covering benefits and total rewards offerings
- Assist with Benefits: Help employees with benefits enrollment and eligibility questions
- Support Processes: Administer FMLA and 401(k) processes and support annual open enrollment
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal and state benefits regulations
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: 5+ years of experience in HR, onboarding, benefits administration, or a related field
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft-based programs
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Professionalism: High level of confidentiality and professionalism required
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $35.00/hr. based on experience.
