What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Billing Implementation Specialist, your day will involve coordinating billing implementations for new payer launches, guiding payers through the billing process, and managing implementation timelines. You’ll also serve as the primary contact for payer billing representatives, tracking billing KPIs, and troubleshooting any billing issues that arise.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Coordinate Implementations: Manage billing setups and timelines
- Guide Payers: Lead billing process meetings
- Track KPIs: Monitor claim acceptance and denial rates
- Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve billing data problems
- Maintain Documentation: Update SOPs and implementation records
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: No degree required
- Project Management: Excellent organizational skills
- Communication: Strong stakeholder management
- Technical Skills: Experience with EDI or API
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS codes
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $88,000 – $108,000/yr.
