This is a temporary, remote position expected to last up to 10 months. The role is part of the NBA’s Content Strategy & Analytics team, focused on managing and enhancing the league’s social and digital analytics ecosystem. The position requires strong attention to detail and a passion for basketball, offering a chance to gain valuable analytics and content experience.
What Your Day Will Look Like (Non-Phone Work)
In this role, you will manage the tagging and organization of NBA content metadata, ensuring accurate classification across dashboards used by the organization. You’ll collaborate with data engineers and analysts to maintain data infrastructure, monitor API connections, and address data gaps. Your day-to-day tasks will involve developing data tracking schedules and supporting strategic decision-making through data insights.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Own Tagging Process: Oversee the social content tagging process for dashboards
- Update Taxonomy: Monitor and update content taxonomy to include new content
- Develop Data Schedule: Create and maintain data tracking schedules
- Monitor Data Connections: Oversee API connections and communicate findings
- Collaborate on Projects: Work with teams on data management and strategy
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience
- Data Proficiency: Detail oriented data background with exemplary analytical skills
- Excel Skills: Intermediate experience working with Microsoft Excel
- Social Media Knowledge: Understanding of social media and digital data
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, design, and innovation
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $28.85/hr. based on experience.
