MultiPlan, a company that healthcare payors manage the cost of care, has posted a new work from home Medical Customer Service Representative job to their careers page.

In this role, you would, “Communicate with customers primarily by phone to verify and correct demographic information,” and related tasks.

Applicants do not have to have a college degree, but should have at least 6 months of customer service experience.

The pay rate for this position is posted as $17 per hour.

Job Highlights:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Communication: Engage with customers primarily by phone to verify and correct demographic information.
  • Issue Resolution: Research and resolve a variety of customer demographic inquiries to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Provider Education: Educate providers via phone to ensure prompt inquiry resolution.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure accurate information updates in the Company’s applications.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison to other departments for inquiry resolution and identify operational issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum HS Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in an office environment.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and data entry skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical and claim terminology.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use software, hardware, and peripherals related to job responsibilities, including Microsoft Excel and other Office products.

Salary Range:
