Garner Health, a healthcare technology company, has posted a Remote Customer Service Representative opening to their careers page.

In this role, you would serve as the frontline support for Garner’s members by guiding them to understand and maximize their healthcare benefits. You will communicate through phone, chat, and email to assist members in finding high-quality care at the lowest cost, handling complex benefit information and sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of customer service or call center experience, preferably in healthcare. Clear communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency with customer service platforms like Zendesk, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment are important. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

The posted pay rate is $22 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour for English/Spanish bilingual candidates.

The company is hiring from anywhere in the United States for this fully remote position, with required availability Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide member support via phone, chat, and email

  • Educate members on healthcare benefits and how to maximize them

  • Guide members to find the best care options

  • Handle complex, sensitive, and sometimes de-escalation conversations professionally and empathetically

  • Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional issues

  • Capture and escalate member feedback

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and data security protocols

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of call center or customer service experience

  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solving mindset

  • Comfortable adapting in a rapidly evolving startup environment

  • Technical proficiency with customer service tools such as Zendesk

  • Commitment to learning and improving daily

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base pay of $22/hr with a $0.50/hr increase for bilingual English/Spanish speakers
