What Your Day Will Look Like
The Medical Records & Billing Administrator is responsible for processing medical records requests, managing incoming payer mail, and handling billing-related refunds and reconsiderations. The role also involves collaborating with the Internal Audit & Compliance Associate to support audit-related documentation and identifying inefficiencies in workflows.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Process Requests: Handle medical records requests promptly
- Manage Mail: Sort and route payer correspondence
- Process Refunds: Handle billing refunds and claims
- Collaborate: Work with audit and compliance teams
- Identify Issues: Flag workflow inefficiencies
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: High school diploma required
- Experience Needed: 1–2 years in healthcare billing
- Attention to Detail: Manage high-volume tasks
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written
- HIPAA Knowledge: Understand confidentiality standards
