About U-Haul
Since its founding in 1945, U-Haul has been a cornerstone in the moving industry, offering do-it-yourself moving solutions across the U.S. and Canada. The company was born from a need recognized by co-founders L.S. “Sam” Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen, who envisioned a system where moving equipment could be rented on a one-way, nationwide basis. This innovative idea revolutionized the way people moved, transforming the industry with their signature orange trailers.
