Help patients get the care they need with patience, clarity, and compassion. As an Associate Patient Access Specialist, you’ll be the first voice patients hear when they reach out for care. You’ll help schedule appointments, update records, answer questions, support MyChart users, and ensure patients feel heard and supported. No medical experience is required — the company provides hands-on training, coaching, and real-time support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients calling to schedule or update appointments, request test results, ask about referrals, or get prescription refill assistance.

  • Support patients through back-to-back calls in a remote call center environment.

  • Ask clarifying questions, listen carefully, and guide callers to the right next step.

  • Identify when calls require clinical guidance and escalate appropriately.

  • Use Epic and other tools to schedule visits, update insurance and contact information, and maintain accurate records.

  • Assist patients with MyChart account setup, password resets, and feature navigation.

  • Document all calls clearly and follow established workflows.

  • Escalate complex issues to senior specialists or leads when needed.

  • Participate in ongoing training and coaching to strengthen accuracy and consistency.

  • Contribute to a positive team culture centered on collaboration, curiosity, and kindness.

Requirements

  • Experience helping people in roles such as customer service, retail, or hospitality.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm when callers are stressed.

  • Ability to learn new software, use multiple systems simultaneously, and type at least 50 WPM accurately.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • A growth mindset, curiosity about healthcare, and openness to feedback.
