What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Release of Information Specialist, the day involves maintaining confidentiality and security of all protected information. This includes processing requests for patient health information, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, and managing electronic document systems. Additional tasks include responding to communication via various platforms, verifying patient information, and assisting with developmental training.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Maintain Confidentiality: Secure protected information.
- Process Requests: Handle patient information requests.
- Verify Information: Ensure accuracy of patient data.
- Respond to Inquiries: Address internal requests promptly.
- Assist with Training: Support developmental training efforts.
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: Associate’s degree required
- Experience: 1 year in medical records
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office
- Attention to Detail: Accurate information handling
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this role is $22.00 – $28.00/hr..
