As you begin your search for the perfect work from home job or gig, you’re likely to come across ads for both EMPLOYEE and INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR roles.

If you research companies that offer independent contractor opportunities, you may come across people who say, “This job is a scam! You have to pay for your own background check,” or, “This company charge for training – it’s definitely a scam!”

BUT WAIT! While the people making those comments may feel they are correct, those opinions often come from a lack of understanding of the difference between working as an EMPLOYEE and working as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR (or “freelancer”).

In the following video we’ll explore the differences, so you can make the choice that’s best for you.
