What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Credentialing Specialist, your day will involve preparing and submitting credentialing and enrollment applications, managing CAQH profiles, and maintaining credentialing databases. You’ll also coordinate managed care credentialing activities and follow up with managed care companies to ensure timely processing. This role requires substantial contact with external agencies.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Prepare Applications: Assist with credentialing and enrollment
- Manage Profiles: Oversee CAQH profiles for providers
- Submit Rosters: Ensure provider participation with health plans
- Track Enrollments: Maintain records of applications
- Coordinate Activities: Facilitate managed care credentialing
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED
- Credentialing Experience: 3-4 years required
- Attention to Detail: Ensure application accuracy
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
- Independent Work: Ability to multitask effectively
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this role is $21.00 – $30.00/hr..
